Richard Magnus Award for the Outstanding Caring Commuter and Commendation Award
And here's more information about the award!
Launched in 2019, the Caring Commuter Award recognises public transport commuters who have demonstrated acts of care to others on their daily commute. It also aims to inspire other commuters to step forward to help fellow commuters in need.
Two categories of Caring Commuter Award are given out each year, namely the Richard Magnus Award for the Outstanding Caring Commuter and the Commendation Award. Nominations are evaluated based on the impact of the act of care on the person being assisted, the effort that was undertaken by the caring commuter, and the circumstances of the situation. The Richard Magnus Award for the Outstanding Caring Commuter is awarded to the caring commuters who, among all the nominations submitted, made the most impact on the person being assisted, and went out of his/her way to assist the person in need.
The mark of a truly advanced society is one where citizens show care towards one another. The Caring SG Commuters Committee believes that there are many caring commuters among us, and seeks your help in recognising them. Let’s work together to give thanks and shine the spotlight on caring commuters today!
