On 15 November 2025, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Public Transport Council (PTC) launched the fifth edition of Caring Commuter Week 2025, marking five years of collective commitment to fostering a gracious, caring and inclusive commuting culture. Held in support of the Caring SG Commuters Movement, this year’s Caring Commuter Week features a line-up of activities to honour commuters who have demonstrated exceptional care towards others during their public transport journeys.
From 15 to 30 November, the public can participate in a public transport-themed escape room designed to deepen their understanding of the different challenges faced by persons with disabilities. Through interactive puzzles, participants can test their knowledge of inclusive transport features while gaining valuable insights into the commuting experience for persons with disabilities. The roving exhibition will be held at Our Tampines Hub, Yishun Town Square and Toa Payoh HDB Hub. For more details on the Caring Commuter Week 2025 activities, please refer to ANNEX A.

Acting Minister for Transport Mr Jeffrey Siow and Minister of State for Transport Mr Baey Yam Keng also presented awards to outstanding individuals and organisations who have contributed to building a more caring commuting culture.
The Richard Magnus Award for the Outstanding Caring Commuter was presented to Yash Raj and Chen Zugen from Greendale Secondary School. The two students had assisted an injured commuter, Ms Tan Siew Hua, who had fallen down the stairs at Meridian LRT on 11 February 2025. Five other commuters received the commendation award, with a total of seven recipients for the Caring Commuter Award.
The Caring Commuter Champion (Inspirer) award was presented to nine individuals who actively participated in activities organised by the Caring SG Commuters Movement and spread its messages in their workplaces and communities. Their contributions include assisting commuters during train service disruptions, volunteering at deployments, and taking part in Focus Group Discussions, Assembly Talks, Sharing Sessions, and Learning Journeys.
The Caring SG Commuters Partners Award was presented to Dementia Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic and St Patrick’s School. These partners were recognised for actively championing the movement and co-creating initiatives that enhance the commuting experience. For more details on all award winners, please refer to ANNEX C.
